I have always loved this story of David, and the outcome of remorse he felt…and then discovered that he was still God’s chosen King….this has always filled me with hope.

It is a great feeling of relief that we don’t have to do it on our own. O God purify my heart.

Wow, that was a powerful message, and a great tool to take that step forward in living out the season off Lent and continue on in a daily basis after lent. God bless

Each morning upon waking I remember I awake still a sinner. I will always be a sinner. I pray to be a better person daily. I do not want perfection. I want the faith/strength to be able to know when I have hurt feelings of others with a sharp tongue, or passed up an opportunity to be more compassionate in a person’s call for help/advise, to take more time to LISTEN when others are talking. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.

Simple and encouraging but why does he not put on the sign of the cross each time he prays? I thought he is a catholic

    • Michael Lulan | | Reply

I am not aware of any rule that we must make the sign of the cross every time we pray. When I go into a Church I make the sign of the cross in a meaningful way. If we made the sign of the cross every time we prayed some would be making it every five minutes and it may become a habit and meaningless.

Thank you Lord for the opportunity of this moment of prayer in the season of Lent. Create Oh Lord a new heart in me, transform in me each ill part of my body, of my mind and of my spirit in order to be the person that I was created to be. Thank you for each call of love , for helping me to say “yes” to you , because is trough your Spirit in me that I am able to respond. Without You I am nothing. With You I will conquer the devil in me, and I will be ready to be an instrument in your hands.

Bruce, my earnest prayer is to hunger and thirst for God. Life makes one so complacent, this is why your voice is a reminder that there is so much God wants to give us ifvwe were only still and listening to the Lord.

Thank you Bruce for talking about Psalm 51. I try and say it very often but will make it a point to say it daily during Lent.

Powerful…..asking God to create those very graces in me. I love Him but I too fall short so may times. I need that humility to know I cannot do it myself. I can only co-operate with God and open myself to the work of His Holy Spirit to bring it about.Have Mercy Oh Lord and hear my prayer and let my cry come before you.

I love this teaching today and actually picked out, for the Sat. Mass Liturgy…Psalm 51! I will sing this tonight and think of King David and the clean heart I desire.

Thanks Bruce for a wonderful message. Psalm 51 is also one of my favorites which I used to pray every morning together with Psalm 91, before walking out the door. Greatly enriched me. Too bad I got too busy to do that, so this Lent by the grace of God, I resolve to spend more time in His Word in Jesus name.
