rod. this message reminds me of the story about the great German theologian, Karl Barth who when asked what was his greatest realisation about God replied “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so”. keeping it human, warm and real. thanks Bruce

Bruce, what I love about your stories is your sharing your humanity with us. I hear Jesus speaking through you as He spoke to His close friends….I feel the connection in our lives as we are all trying to allow ourselves to be open enough to change. Thank you for bringing us all together.

Your video today took me on a different path but was a lightbulb moment for me. I so feel inadequate at times, when reading the Bible and wish its message was in a more simple, easy to understand language. Now there’s a challenge Bruce, ‘The Bible Demystified’, maybe the reading for the day written more simply for us ‘ordinary’ people.

Dear Bruce, thank you for making me realize what I need to do in order to become the person God wants me to be. This Lenten time in Church is so beautiful as it gives all of the chance to be transformed in to the person God wants us to be. It was a light bulb moment for me as I came to know the things I need to do seriously and with dedication to become the person God wants me to be. I really love how you share with all of us Bruce your humanity it is so touching and so moving. I can hear Jesus talking though you and it is an amazing experience for me. You help me in a way that is so wonderful.

What an inspirational talk, and so much down to earth explanation of the simplicity of our faith and lenten conversion, I feel very blessed by the progress I feel I’m making in small simple steps. Thanks Bruce & safe trip to Nashville

It is great to have people like yourself and your team who teach Christian values and how to apply them in everyday life. The bible is complicated to read but listening to your interpretations in simple terms makes it relevant and easy to understand and apply. It is always a pleasure to listen to your Lenten messages, attend parish missions and of course your weekly tv program.

Thanks Bruce one more time. Help me Lord to be more humble, more simple in order to understand you better. Allow me to be transformed and to walk every day with you. I want to live a true christian life. If you put your eyes on me is because You can see some good in me. And I want to say yes, I want to follow You all the days of my life.

Thank you, Jesus, for not being complicated. Thank you for giving me the heart of a child and allowing me to come to You with an open heart and an open mind. God Bless all your children for we must come to You as a child would. Children are not complicated and we learn so much from them Love is a baby’s eyes. Bring me closer and closer to You, dear Lord Jesus.

Thank you Bruce for the message in simple language, which I understand, and can process. So much of my reading material, and other Christian speakers whom I follow online, are so far over my head, that I really struggle to get any message at all. But I do feel that I really am on a journey, this Lenten season. Peace and blessings to you.

Thank you Bruce for the wonderful message, for bringing it down to the level of understanding.
I am thankful for the CCC (Catechism of the Catholic Church) too, which explains and teaches us to understand the bible and its theological view simply.

    God bless all!

Thank you Bruce for your thoughts. It really gets me thinking. I have a way with words and language but am embarassingly poor with math and numbers. Many people are the opposite and I admire their abilities very much. I’m in awe of others who can do calculus and advanced algebra. Putting things in a simpler way when necessary is also a skill we should strive for when others truly don’t relate or understand.
